Emilie is really a very good artist for a 4 year old. I can say that humbly because I know that's nothing she gets from me ... Just ask my primary class :)
So I was upstairs taking care of Owen and Emmie came up all excited and said she had a surprise for me. Voila this was my surprise. Emmie drew me a plane.
So I've heard the saying "oh she was born to do ..." As in "He was born to play football". Well, who knew. I've got documented proof that Owen already loves watching football. Seriously he'll just sit and stare, occasionally there's even drool leaking out he's so enthrawled. Like father like son, eh? Well. Go Niners I guess. I've got a long sports ridden ride ahead of me.
There are lots of things that make me happy in this life. At the top of that list are: Creating something amazing and getting a good deal.
Today I accomplished both. It was a good day. Krissy and I went shopping and saw these shoes for $3. Yes! You read right -- $3! They were so cute I got the camel (or caramel, as Jimmy says) and Krissy got the black, or was it the other way around? 8)
Then, for my creative genius. So one of Jared and my favorite soup is the zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden. I thought, bada bing bada boom. That would make a tasty lasagna and Voila! Toscana Lasagna was born. Tasty tasty! Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to make lasagna photogenic.
And finally. This "wreath". I didn't make it today but I was SO pleased with it I had to show it off. :)
Ahh, happy is good.
