Ok, I'm coming clean. The fact of the matter is that I am a HUGE Rachael Ray fan. I love to watch her show in the mornings (Channel 5 at 10:00). I know some people think that she is annoying, but I get quite a kick out of her and her sense of humor. She makes me excited to try new recipes and make new food. The fun thing is (and I hope he doesn't mind) Jared likes her too. He thinks she's pretty funny and he LOVES the recipes she makes. We've tried dozens of Rach's favs and we've only found one that was, quite frankly, unedible.
In fact, last May Jared told me that I had a surpise coming in the mail. I kind of forgot about it and then one day Jared came in beaming from the mailbox. He gave me my "surprise". I looked at the notice that I had a subscription to EveryDay with Rachael Ray for a whole year! I started screaming and I was so giddy! The best part of this story was that his family from Arizona was visiting and I think they were expecting something amazing like a trip to Australia or something, but a subscription to Rachael Ray clearly did not merit that kind of outburst in their minds. :)
Well, my family is definately starting to see the light . . . they like her too! At least Eth and Mom do . . . Jess is still getting there, but we'll getcha Jess! An added bonus that I just discovered. . . I was looking on Rachael's website for a picture and what to my astonished ears did I hear? Emmie saying "Rachael Ray" and pointing at her picture!
So, to my surprise and delight Eth and Hunt wanted to cook dinner for all of us, and whose recipe were they cooking? The one and only Rachael Ray! 
I'd say with that picture that they have a right to be proud! What a dinner! Here are the proud cooks!

Rachel Ray huh??? What exactly did Eth and Hunt cook? It looks very professional but I can't quite make out what it would be called... :) I'm glad that Jared is in touch with his femenine side (and his wife) !!
How can you get me when I live two hours away and don't own a television? :)
Was the unedible recipe smoked turkey chimichangas??? Because Cam and I found that unedible. Bless his heart, the hubby still ate it.

I love great recipes! Confession - I'm not familiar with a ton of her stuff, so I'll check it out. It sounds like you're raising a cook-to-be! :) So fun!
I LOVE Rachel Ray!!! I have 3 of her cookbooks. Now that I have cable, the food network is on pretty much 24/7! Whenever 30 minute meals comes on it reminds me of sitting in our crappy old apartment watching it while eating apples and peanut butter! :) I want to know what the unedible recipe was, so I can be sure not to try it!
